And they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,

When they reached their father Jacob in the land of Canaan, they described to him all that had happened to them:

וַ יָּבֹ֛אוּ אֶל ־ יַעֲקֹ֥ב אֲבִי הֶ֖ם אַ֣רְצָ ה כְּנָ֑עַן וַ יַּגִּ֣ידוּ ל֔וֹ אֵ֛ת כָּל ־ הַ קֹּרֹ֥ת אֹתָ֖ם לֵ אמֹֽר ׃
