And Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering, and laid [it] upon Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife; and they went both of them together.
_BSB:
Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac. He himself carried the fire and the sacrificial knife, and the two of them walked on together.

וַ יִּקַּ֨ח אַבְרָהָ֜ם אֶת ־ עֲצֵ֣י הָ עֹלָ֗ה וַ יָּ֙שֶׂם֙ עַל ־ יִצְחָ֣ק בְּנ֔וֹ וַ יִּקַּ֣ח בְּ יָד֔וֹ אֶת ־ הָ אֵ֖שׁ וְ אֶת ־ הַֽ מַּאֲכֶ֑לֶת וַ יֵּלְכ֥וּ שְׁנֵי הֶ֖ם יַחְדָּֽו ׃
