Syria Wages War with David

LXX:
And the sons of Ammon knew that the people of David were put to shame. And Hanun and [the] sons of Ammon sent a thousand talents of silver to hire for themselves of Syria of Mesopotamia, and from Syria of Maachah, and from Zobah, chariots and horsemen.

και είδον οι υιοί Αμμών ότι κατησχύνθη ο λαός Δαυίδ και απέστειλεν Ανάν και υιοί Αμμών χίλια τάλαντα αργυρίου του μισθώσασθαι εαυτοίς εκ Συρίας Μεσοποταμίας και εκ Συρίας Μααχά και παρά Σουβά άρματα και ιππείς
