And they were whipped -- the scribes of the race of the sons of Israel, the [ones] being placed over them by the supervisors of Pharaoh, [and] saying, Why did you not complete your rate of the making of bricks as also yesterday and [the] third day [before] and today?

και εμαστιγώθησαν οι γραμματείς του γένους των υιών Ισραήλ οι κατασταθέντες επ΄ αυτούς υπό των επιστατών του Φαραώ λέγοντες διατί ου συνετελέσατε τας συντάξεις υμών της πληνθείας καθάπερ και εχθές και τρίτην ημέραν και το της σήμερον
