⥃The Fool Says There Is No God [ Psalms 14:1–7 † Isaiah 59:1–17 † Romans 3:9–20 ]
To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David.
[1] The fool2 hath said3 in his heart, [There is] no God. Corrupt4 are they, and have done5 abominable iniquity: [there is6] none that doeth good. [2] God looked7 down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were [any] that8 did understand, that did seek9 God. [3] Every10 one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy11; [there is] none12 that doeth good, no, not one. [4] Have13 the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat14 up my people [as] they eat bread: they have not called upon God. [5] There15 were they in great fear16, [where] no fear was: for God hath scattered17 the bones of him that encampeth [against] thee: thou hast18 put [them] to shame, because19 God hath despised them. [6] Oh20 that the salvation of Israel [were come] out21 of Zion! When God22 bringeth23 back the captivity of his people, Jacob24 shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
