Doric dialect φῠά, ἡ, (φύω) growth, stature, especially fine growth, noble stature, in [Refs 8th c.BC+] of the human form, and only in accusative, θηήσαντο φυὴν καὶ εἶδος ἀγητόν [Refs 8th c.BC+]; most frequently in adverb sense, Νέστορι δίῳ εἶδός τε μέγεθός τε φυήν τ᾽ ἄγχιστα ἐῴκει in shape and in stature and in size (or growth),[Refs 8th c.BC+]; rare in Trag., τὴν τάλαιναν εὔμορφον φ. [Refs 5th c.BC+]
