And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and a refuge and hiding place from the storm and the rain.

וְ סֻכָּ֛ה תִּהְיֶ֥ה לְ צֵל ־ יוֹמָ֖ם מֵ חֹ֑רֶב וּ לְ מַחְסֶה֙ וּ לְ מִסְתּ֔וֹר מִ זֶּ֖רֶם וּ מִ מָּטָֽר ׃ פ
