Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be heard.

Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too shall cry out and receive no answer.

אֹטֵ֣ם אָ֭זְנ וֹ מִ זַּעֲקַת ־ דָּ֑ל גַּֽם ־ ה֥וּא יִ֝קְרָ֗א וְ לֹ֣א יֵעָנֶֽה ׃
