Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.

All his brothers and sisters and prior acquaintances came and dined with him in his house. They consoled him and comforted him over all the adversity that the LORD had brought upon him. And each one gave him a piece of silver and a gold ring.

וַ יָּבֹ֣אוּ אֵ֠לָי ו כָּל ־ אֶחָ֨י ו וְ כָל ־ אַחְיוֹתָ֜י ו וְ כָל ־ יֹדְעָ֣י ו לְ פָנִ֗ים וַ יֹּאכְל֨וּ עִמּ֣וֹ לֶחֶם֮ בְּ בֵית וֹ֒ וַ יָּנֻ֤דוּ ל וֹ֙ וַ יְנַחֲמ֣וּ אֹת֔וֹ עַ֚ל כָּל ־ הָ֣רָעָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר ־ הֵבִ֥יא יְהוָ֖ה עָלָ֑י ו וַ יִּתְּנוּ ־ ל֗וֹ אִ֚ישׁ קְשִׂיטָ֣ה אֶחָ֔ת וְ אִ֕ישׁ נֶ֥זֶם זָהָ֖ב אֶחָֽד ׃ ס
