And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

And the hand of the LORD came upon Elijah, and he tucked his cloak into his belt and ran ahead of Ahab all the way to Jezreel.

וְ יַד ־ יְהוָ֗ה הָֽיְתָה֙ אֶל ־ אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ וַ יְשַׁנֵּ֖ס מָתְנָ֑י ו וַ יָּ֙רָץ֙ לִ פְנֵ֣י אַחְאָ֔ב עַד ־ בֹּאֲ כָ֖ה יִזְרְעֶֽאלָ ה ׃
