And it came to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor had heard [those things], that he sent to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,

Now when Jabin king of Hazor heard about these things, he sent word to Jobab king of Madon; to the kings of Shimron and Achshaph;

וַ יְהִ֕י כִּ שְׁמֹ֖עַ יָבִ֣ין מֶֽלֶךְ ־ חָצ֑וֹר וַ יִּשְׁלַ֗ח אֶל ־ יוֹבָב֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ מָד֔וֹן וְ אֶל ־ מֶ֥לֶךְ שִׁמְר֖וֹן וְ אֶל ־ מֶ֥לֶךְ אַכְשָֽׁף ׃
