But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:

In order that they may live and not die when they come near the most holy things, do this for them: Aaron and his sons are to go in and assign each man his task and what he is to carry.

וְ זֹ֣את ׀ עֲשׂ֣וּ לָ הֶ֗ם וְ חָיוּ֙ וְ לֹ֣א יָמֻ֔תוּ בְּ גִשְׁתָּ֖ם אֶת ־ קֹ֣דֶשׁ הַ קֳּדָשִׁ֑ים אַהֲרֹ֤ן וּ בָנָי ו֙ יָבֹ֔אוּ וְ שָׂמ֣וּ אוֹתָ֗ם אִ֥ישׁ אִ֛ישׁ עַל ־ עֲבֹדָת֖וֹ וְ אֶל ־ מַשָּׂאֽ וֹ ׃
