And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

So in the course of time, Cain brought some of the fruit of the soil as an offering to the LORD,

וַֽ יְהִ֖י מִ קֵּ֣ץ יָמִ֑ים וַ יָּבֵ֨א קַ֜יִן מִ פְּרִ֧י הָֽ אֲדָמָ֛ה מִנְחָ֖ה לַֽ יהוָֽה ׃
