LXX:
And Joab beheld that it came to pass that the war [was] facing him from the face right opposite, and from the rear. And he chose from out of all the young men of Israel, and deployed right opposite Syria.

και είδεν Ιωάβ ότι εγενήθη προς αυτόν αντιπρόσωπον του πολέμου εκ του κατά πρόσωπον εξεναντίας και εκ του όπισθεν και επελέξατο εκ πάντων των νεανιών Ισραήλ και παρετάξαντο εξεναντίας Συρίας
