LXX:
And the men of Jabish spoke to him, [saying], Spare us seven days, and we will send messengers unto every border of Israel. And if there might not be one delivering us, then we will come forth to you.

και λέγουσιν αυτώ οι άνδρες Ιαβής άνες ημάς επτά ημέρας και αποστελούμεν αγγέλους εις παν όριον Ισραήλ και εάν μη η ο σώζων ημάς και εξελευσόμεθα προς υμάς
