Neziah was the ancestor of a family of temple servants (also known as Nethinim) who returned to Judah from the Babylonian exile (Ezra 2:54; Nehemiah 7:56). The temple servants assisted the Levites in the maintenance and service of the temple. Neziah's descendants were among those who settled in Jerusalem after the return (Nehemiah 11:21).
