[Refs 8th c.BC+], and Ionic dialect, [Refs 5th c.BC+]; but Attic dialect writers (before [Refs 4th c.BC+] hardly ever have the present and imperfect σκέπτομαιτομαι, ἐσκεπτόμην (except [Refs 5th c.BC+], Bauer restored pluperfect προὔσκεπτο), but use σκοπῶ or σκοποῦμαι as present, and take the other tenses from σκέπτομαιτομαι, future σκέψομαι [Refs 5th c.BC+]; aorist ἐσκεψάμην [Refs 5th c.BC+]; perfect ἔσκεμμαι [Refs 5th c.BC+] —but the perfect is used also in passive sense, as also some other tenses, see below [Refs]
