1 Corinthians 8:8
KJV:
But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse.
BSB:
But food does not bring us closer to God: We are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.
Greek:
βρῶμα δὲ ἡμᾶς οὐ παραστήσει τῷ θεῷ· οὔτε γὰρ ἐὰν μὴ φάγωμεν ὑστερούμεθα, οὔτε ἐὰν φάγωμεν περισσεύομεν.¶
