As [it is] written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

Just as it is written in the Law of Moses, all this disaster has come upon us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our iniquities and giving attention to Your truth.

כַּ אֲשֶׁ֤ר כָּתוּב֙ בְּ תוֹרַ֣ת מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֵ֛ת כָּל ־ הָ רָעָ֥ה הַ זֹּ֖את בָּ֣אָה עָלֵ֑י נוּ וְ לֹֽא ־ חִלִּ֜ינוּ אֶת ־ פְּנֵ֣י ׀ יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗י נוּ לָ שׁוּב֙ מֵֽ עֲוֹנֵ֔נוּ וּ לְ הַשְׂכִּ֖יל בַּ אֲמִתֶּֽ ךָ ׃
