Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD [concerning things] which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:

“Tell the Israelites to do as follows with one who sins unintentionally against any of the LORD’s commandments and does what is forbidden by them:

דַּבֵּ֞ר אֶל ־ בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֘ל לֵ אמֹר֒ נֶ֗פֶשׁ כִּֽי ־ תֶחֱטָ֤א בִ שְׁגָגָה֙ מִ כֹּל֙ מִצְוֹ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֣א תֵעָשֶׂ֑ינָה וְ עָשָׂ֕ה מֵ אַחַ֖ת מֵ הֵֽנָּה ׃
