And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which [were] under the firmament from the waters which [were] above the firmament: and it was so.
_BSB:
So God made the expanse and separated the waters beneath it from the waters above. And it was so.

וַ יַּ֣עַשׂ אֱלֹהִים֮ אֶת ־ הָ רָקִיעַ֒ וַ יַּבְדֵּ֗ל בֵּ֤ין הַ מַּ֙יִם֙ אֲשֶׁר֙ מִ תַּ֣חַת לָ רָקִ֔יעַ וּ בֵ֣ין הַ מַּ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֖ר מֵ עַ֣ל לָ רָקִ֑יעַ וַֽ יְהִי ־ כֵֽן ׃
