LXX:
And the servants of Saul spoke into the ears of David these things. And David said, Is it the light [thing] in your eyes to be allied by marriage to [the] king? And I [am] a humble man, and not esteemed?

και ελάλησαν οι παίδες Σαούλ εις τα ώτα Δαυίδ τα ρήματα ταύτα και είπε Δαυίδ η κούφόν εστιν εν οφθαλμοίς υμών επιγαμβρεύσαι βασιλεί εγώ δε ανήρ ταπεινός και ουχί έντιμος
