LXX:
And they returned to Joshua, and said to him, Do not let all the people ascend, but about two thousand or three thousand men, let them ascend! And let [them] capture the city! You should not lead there all the people, for they are few.

και ανέστρεψαν προς Ιησούν και είπαν προς αυτόν μη αναβήτω πας ο λαός αλλ΄ ωσεί δισχίλιοι η τρισχίλιοι άνδρες αναβήτωσαν και εκπολιορκησάτωσαν την πόλιν μη αναγάγης εκεί πάντα τον λαόν ολίγοι γαρ εισι
