Doric dialect μᾱν-, future -ῑσω [LXX+1st c.AD+]aorist ἐμήνῑσα: (μῆνις):— cherish wrath, be wroth against, with dative person, μήνι᾽ Ἀχαιοῖσιν [Refs 8th c.BC+] with genitive _of things_, ἱρῶν μηνίσας because of.., [Refs 8th c.BC+] mostly absolutely, and of heroes, μήνι᾽ Ἀχιλλεύς [Refs 8th c.BC+]: rarely of common men, ὁ ξεῖνος δ᾽ εἴ περ μάλα μηνίει [Refs 8th c.BC+]: middle in active sense, οὐδεὶς.. δαιμόνων μηνίεται [Refs 5th c.BC+], and in later Prose, [LXX+1st c.BC+]; compare μηνιάω. [In aorist ῑ always: in present and imperfect, [Refs 8th c.BC+], and A.
