ἀναρπάζω-άζω,

future -άσω (see. below 111) and -άξω, more frequently in middle form -άσομαι (see. below 111) aorist -ήρπασα and -_ξα, in [Refs 8th c.BC+] as suits the metre: aorist 2 passive ἀνηρπάγην[Refs 1st c.BC+]:—snatch up, ἀνὰ δ᾽ ἥρπασε Παλλὰς Ἀθήνη (i.e. τὸ ἔγχος) [Refs 8th c.BC+]; of the sun causing the earth's moisture to evaporate, [Refs 5th c.BC+]
