__I properly of flesh, raw, uncooked, [Refs 8th c.BC+]; opposed to ὀπταλέος, [Refs 8th c.BC+]; ὠμὸν καταφαγεῖν τινα or ὠμοῦ ἐσθίειν τινός to eat one raw, proverbial of savage cruelty, [Refs 8th c.BC+]
__I.2 of eggs, [Refs 4th c.BC+]; of vegetables, μύκητας ὠμοὺς.. φαγεῖν [Refs 4th c.BC+]; compare ὠμήλυσις.
__I.3 of water, crude, opposed to ἄπεφθος, [Refs 2nd c.AD+]; also of milk, [Refs 4th c.BC+]
