ἑκάτερος-ος

(Doric dialect ϝεκ- [Refs], α, ον, each of two, each singly, opposed to ἀμφότεροι, [Refs 5th c.BC+]; εἷς ἑ. Syngr. cited in [Refs 5th c.BC+]; when joined with a substantive, the substantive almost always takes the Article (so in Attic dialect Inscrr. except [Refs 5th c.BC+]: as nominative to plural Verb, sometimes in plural, especially when one or both parties are in plural, ἐδικαίευν ἑκάτεροι [Refs 5th c.BC+]; repeated in reference to each of two parties, ἐὰν ἑκάτεροι ἑκατέρων τέμνωσιν ἀγρούς [Refs 5th c.BC+]; ἐφ᾽ ἑκάτερα both ways, [Refs 5th c.BC+]
